Lokayukta Justice BS Patil, accompanied by Upa Lokayukta B Veerappa and Upa Lokayukta KN Phaneendra, along with police and judicial officials, visited Silk Board Circle, Panathur S-Cross, Panathur Main Road, Sai Layout, and Manyata Tech Park.

A statement said that the Lokayukta was not satisfied with the explanation given by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) officials at Silk Board Circle regarding stormwater drains.

At Sai Layout, residents explained the problems they faced as rains flooded their homes and sought a permanent solution.

The Lokayukta directed his department to register suo motu cases to address public grievances. The officers concerned were told to appear at the Lokayukta’s office on Friday with documents and explanations.
