Man arrested for attacking an advocate in court hall in BengaluruThe police said that the injured Karthik K, a resident of Basavanagudi alleged in complaint that on Tuesday, around 11 am he was sitting along with four other advocates in the court hall to attend a case.

Bengaluru: The Ulsoor Gate police have booked a 23-year-old man for assaulting an advocate in the court hall in City Civil Court. The accused has been identified as Darshan, a resident of Sampigehalli.

The police said that the injured Karthik K, a resident of Basavanagudi alleged in complaint that on Tuesday, around 11 am he was sitting along with four other advocates in the court hall to attend a case.

Meanwhile, an unidentified person suddenly came and attacked him by hitting him on the face.  The attack took place before the magistrate and the accused was immediately handed over to Ulsoor Gate police.

A senior police officer said that Darshan was involved in a petty case and he was under observation in rehabilitation centre. He had come to the court to attend a case and immediately attacked the advocate.  

Speaking to DH, the advocate Karthik said, "I had not seen him earlier and he is not related to any of my case. I was shocked about the incident and immediately went to a nearby hospital for the treatment and later filed a case with the police."
