Bahar Asma (30) was found hanging in the washroom on Monday. Although the police did not find any death note, the woman's father filed a complaint, blaming her husband and his family members.

The couple was married for two years.

Asma’s father claimed that her husband, Basheerullah, had an extramarital affair. Asma confronted him, but he continued his relationship and kept torturing her. Her father further alleged that Basheer’s family supported his affair.

The police have booked Basheer under BNS sections 108 (abetment to suicide) and 3(5) (criminal act is done by several individuals in furtherance of a common intention) as the complainant named Basheerullah's family in the complaint.
