Bengaluru: The police have booked a man for sexually harassing two women walking on the streets of Suddaguntepalya.
The incident occurred at 1.55 am on April 3 at 1st Cross SG Palya near Bharathi Layout.
While the victims haven’t filed a complaint, the resident of a house located near the place of the incident has approached the police.
The incident was caught on CCTV camera and has been widely shared on social media.
The footage, reviewed by DH, shows the women walking on the street when a man whose face is not clearly visible grabs one of them and harasses her. He flees when they scream for help.
The police are yet to identify the victims as well as the suspect.
For now, the Suddaguntepalya police have taken up an FIR under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections 74 (assault or criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 75 (sexual harassment), and 78 (stalking).
