Bengaluru: A 48-year-old man was found dead in a hotel room in Begur, Southeast Bengaluru, on Monday. Police have booked his business partner for abetment of suicide.
Kollal Dutta, a food contractor at two private hospitals in the city, was found hanging in a hotel room in Begur. His wife, who’s a homemaker, alleged that her husband’s business partner had harassed him mentally.
According to the complainant, Dutta was running catering business in partnership with one Mariswamy and suffered losses in 2020. After that, Mariswamy stopped investing in the business and mentally harassed Dutta by blaming him for the losses, according to the complaint.
