Man with fake work experience papers nabbed at KIA

Immigration officials at the Kempegowda International Airport apprehended a man attempting to fly to Canada with fake work experience certificate of a reputed company in Chennai.

Vadivel Giridharan, 39, was arrested and produced before a magistrate, who remanded him in judicial custody.

Giridharan a farmer in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, is an SSLC pass out. He came to know about Chandrashekar in Chennai through a common friend.

According to the police, Chandrashekar convinced Giridharan that he could work in Hamilton in Canada using an experience certificate from a reputed company in Chennai. Chandrashekar also took Rs 5 lakh from Giridharan and fabricated documents, including an identity card from Tridon Engineering Solutions, with which he applied for a Canadian visa.

After the visa was processed, Giridharan purchased flight tickets at KIA to Vancouver in Canada via London. While Giridharan was going through immigration clearance, Bureau of Immigration officials suspected something amiss with the documents and cross-checked it with the company in Chennai.

After an inquiry, Giridharan confessed that he was cheated by Chandrashekar. The police have also made Chandrashekar an accused in the case.
