Mayor sets deadline for corporators

 The public representatives are bound to submit the details as per norms and the corporators had been dragging matter even after a month of their election. Mayor S K Nataraj finally set a deadline of May 22 and corporators who fail to comply stand to lose their position.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, the Mayor said so far 30 per cent of the corporators have submitted the property and investment details and he expected more corporators to follow his direction by the evening.  He added that the corporators will have to submit their details by Saturday evening or else lose their membership. “The deadline could be extended by a day if they insist, but nore more than that,” Nataraj said. He advised the corporators to submit the same copy or content of the affidavit of their assets and liability, which they had given to the State Election Commission at the time of filing their nomination papers.  Mayor said the Palike would be have the details by Monday.
