Bengaluru: A group of MBBS students staged a protest in front of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) on Wednesday, alleging discrepancies in the evaluation of their answer scripts and demanding justice.
The protesters, comprising students from batches prior to 2018, raised concerns about inconsistencies in the evaluation process.
"As per the rules, each answer script was evaluated by four evaluators, and the average of their marks was considered final. However, the marks awarded by the evaluators varied significantly, raising questions about the credibility of the process," they alleged.
The students pointed to stark differences in scores, with some marks as high as 70 and others as low as 10 for the same answer script. "How can the same paper show such a huge disparity in evaluation?" they questioned, calling for a transparent review of the process.
