According to sources, the meeting will be held at the Director General and Inspector General of Police’s (DG&IGP) office in Bengaluru. The primary agenda of the meeting will be on the slouch hats currently worn by the constabulary.

Senior state police officers and commandants of the Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) force will be part of the meeting, sources said. They said the slouch hats don’t benefit the constables and are difficult to maintain when engaging in policing during rallies and riots.

One of the suggestions was to replace the slouch hats with peak caps, they said. “It will be clear after the meeting,” a police officer said.
