Bengaluru: The South Western Railway (SWR) has increased the number of coaches for the Marikuppam-KSR Bengaluru MEMU train (number 66512) from eight to 12, starting Thursday.
According to SWR, the train had been reduced to eight coaches for two days due to scheduled maintenance. With the maintenance work now concluded, four additional car coaches have been re-attached to the train.
One more eight-coach MEMU train will be added with an additional four coaches on Friday. After this, the minimum composition of MEMU trains in the Bengaluru railway division will be 12 car coaches, the SWR said.
