Gowda paid an unscheduled visit to the offices of the assistant commissioners of the two taluks.

The minister saw absent staff, forged attendance records and frustrated citizens.

“The behaviour of some officials is irresponsible. Citizens have been visiting these offices for the same work for 5-10 months. Even for small works, people are made to come repeatedly,” he said.

“Citizens are angry and disappointed with the functioning of both assistant commissioners. Even the government is concerned,” Gowda said, adding that Bengaluru Urban Deputy Commissioner Jagadeesha G has been asked to conduct an inquiry.
