Bengaluru: A minor accident on the Electronics City elevated expressway caused a huge pile-up on Friday, prompting netizens to take to social media to complain about the situation.
The incident occurred early in the evening after two cars were involved in a minor collision. The Electronics City traffic police reported that it took them around 10 minutes to clear the traffic once they reached the accident spot.
An X (formerly Twitter) account complained about the traffic situation. “Long traffic jam in Electronic City Flyover towards electronic city side almost till Hosa Road metro station (sic),” it wrote.
He also tagged the Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP), prompting a reply.
“Our officers and staff have cleared the vehicle involved in the accident and are facilitating smooth movement of motorists,” the BTP in their reply.
Meanwhile, there was also traffic congestion on the Market Flyover due to a tree fall. The road towards the NR down ramp experienced slow-moving traffic early in the evening.
