Elvin, a resident of Matnahalli near Sarjapur, went missing on Thursday afternoon. His parents filed a complaint later that day, and police launched a search operation.

According to an officer from the Sarjapur police station, Elvin’s bicycle and slippers were discovered near a small pond in Matnahalli on Friday morning. Suspecting that he might have drowned, police searched the pond and recovered his body shortly after.

Preliminary investigations suggest that Elvin was cycling without the knowledge of his parents when he accidentally fell into the pond. However, police are still verifying the circumstances of the incident.

The Sarjapur police have converted the missing person complaint filed by the boy’s parents into a case of unnatural death.
