More plaints in surrogacy racket

Nine more people, on Tuesday, lodged complaints against Srushti Global Trust owner Gurumurthy at Kamakshipalya police station, alleging they were cheated by him.

He was arrested by Nandini Layout police on October 11, on a complaint lodged by Don Bosco, who stated that Gurumurthy had promised to arrange for a surrogate mother for Rs 3.5 lakh but handed over a baby within seven months.

It was found that Bosco was not the biological father and the baby’s growth was abnormal. He approached Nandini Layout police and lodged a complaint. The police arrested Gurumurthy, busting the fake surrogacy and child trafficking racket.

“On Monday, around 40 people approached various police station and lodged complaint against the accused. There are numerous people approaching the police and registering complaints, a police officer said.
