More rain likely today, tomorrow

With the City receiving moderate showers on Thursday evening, the Meteorological Department has predicted more spells of rain in the next two days.

“The weather will remain the same for the next two days with one or two spells of rain occurring in some areas,” the department observed. The maximum temperature  recorded in the City was 30.2 degree Celsius and the minimum stood at 20.3 degree Celsius. The City received about 6.3 mm rainfall while the HAL airport area received 3.2 mm.

The condition in the rest of the State was the same with rainfall occurring at most places over coastal Karnataka and also at some places in interior Karnataka. Areas like Siddapura (Udupi dist), Mangalore and Nilkund received heavy rainfall.
Rain/thundershowers would occur at most places over coastal Karnataka, at many places over ghat areas of south interior Karnataka and at a few places over north interior Karnataka and remaining parts of south interior Karnataka, the department predicted.
