BBMP Chief Commissioner M Maheshwar Rao, who inspected various works in the South Zone, instructed officials to open the facility to the public, noting that the construction is complete.

Built at an estimated cost of Rs 22 crore, the facility features 50 commercial shops on the ground and first floors. Car parking spans the first to fourth floors, with a total capacity of 124 vehicles — 31 per floor. The building includes an elevator, six toilets, staircases, and a tensile roofing system on the terrace.

Rao also directed officials to develop the Koramangala waste processing unit into a model facility, with proper arrangements for visitors coming for training or study purposes.

The unit includes a material recovery facility, dry waste collection unit, biogas plant, and mini transfer station. Officials were asked to ensure regular maintenance and spraying to prevent foul odours.
