Bengaluru: A video released by the BBMP on the Bengaluru tunnel road project has become the butt of online jokes.

The video highlights new infrastructure projects being taken up by the civic body.

Netizens were quick to identify mistakes in the tunnel road project video, suggesting that the BBMP copied elements from the Mumbai tunnel road reports.

The video mentions 'Entry to Nariman Point' on the top right of the frame and 'Worli' on the signboard, clear references to prominent localities in India's Financial Capital.

That's not all. Even some locations mentioned in the maps are wrong on several counts.

For example, the Bengaluru airport is shown in the direction of Nagasandra and the international airport's location is shown in Nelamangala.

Second goof-up

This is the second such goof-up with respect to the tunnel road project after the Detailed Project Report (DPR) prepared by a private consultant had copied elements from the Mumbai project.

Citizens fear that the BBMP might make similar mistakes in the tunnel road construction.
