The Bangalore Conservatory will host its annual graduation concert today. A total of 63 students are set to graduate. The event will feature multiple groups from the Conservatory — such as the choir, a percussion band, a guitar ensemble, and a handbell ensemble.
Located off Hennur-Bagalur Main Road, the Conservatory is a Western Classical Music College founded by husband-and-wife duo, Kenneth and Vinita Henson. Having received their doctorates in music education, the couple started The Bangalore Conservatory as a Summer Intensive Music Seminar in 1997, offering 6-8 week-long courses in Western vocals and classical instruments. Due to popular demand, the college began offering Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in 2004.
