Bengaluru: The much-anticipated Reach 6 line of Namma Metro’s Phase 2, stretching from Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara, is expected to be commissioned in September 2026 — that’s the new deadline set by the BMRCL after it completed all tunneling works. The work on underground stations are nearing completion.
The 21.26-km corridor comprises a 7.50-km elevated section with six stations from Kalena Agrahara to Tavarekere, and a 13.76-km underground stretch with 12 stations from Dairy Circle to Nagawara.
As per the press note, the tunneling component of the underground section has completed the full 20.992 km of the twin tunnel work. The station construction across the four underground packages is progressing well, with completion percentages ranging from 91% to 97%.
Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar had scheduled a visit to the underconstruction Bamboo Bazaar metro station on Monday, but deferred the plan.
It is, however, not sure whether the Reach 6 would be opened in two phases or at one go.
