AM Chowdhary, Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (Southern Circle), commenced the motor trolley inspection from the RV Road station around 10 am.

He was accompanied by Sumit Bhatnagar, Director (Rolling Stock and Electrical) at Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL).

Over the three-day exercise, the CMRS will inspect various components of the Yellow Line, including the viaduct, tracks, platforms, station buildings, signalling and electrical systems, fire safety measures, air-conditioning, escalators, lifts, automatic fare collection (AFC) systems, etc.

On July 25, he is scheduled to visit the BMRCL's Operations Control Centre (OCC) at the Baiyappanahalli depot.

The CMRS is expected to give his report, which is almost always conditional, in about a week afterwards.

The BMRCL will need about a week or so to fulfill the conditions and submit a compliance report. It has announced plans to open the 19.15-km RV Road-Bommasandra line by August 15.

The line may be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, subject to his availability.
