A newspaper delivery boy was thrashed black and blue by local residents at Tindlu in Vidyaranyapura police limits for filming a woman while she was taking bath in her flat on Monday morning.
The suspect was identified as Prabhu, 24, a resident of Tindlu. Prabhu had gone to the victim’s flat on Monday morning to supply paper. He heard the sound of somebody taking bath in the flat. He managed to climb the parapet of the bathroom and spotted a woman bathing. He switched on the video mode of his mobile phone and kept it near exhaust fan and started videographing. In the process, he accidentally touched the exhaust fan which generated some noise. The victim looked up at the fan and saw a man sitting there. She raised an alarm, said the police.
The victim’s husband had just then gone out to bring milk. He heard his wife screaming, rushed inside and spotted Prabhu getting down the parapet and trying to run away, said the police. The local residents gathered near the apartment, tied Prabhu to a pole and beat him up. The police rushed to the spot after receiving the information and arrested him.
