The initiative aims to train primary healthcare providers, including doctors and nurses, to identify and manage common neurological conditions such as strokes, epilepsy and headache in district and taluk hospitals, reducing delays in diagnosis and care.

Nimhans has also developed a hub-and-spoke model for stroke and head injury management through six medical colleges across the state to support advanced case handling.

To address patient overload at its current campus, Nimhans will establish a new branch in north Bengaluru and expand its outpatient services.
