Bengaluru: The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (Nimhans) celebrated its 70th anniversary on Monday with the release of a First Day Cover, commemorative postage stamps, a miniature sheet, and an informational brochure.
The commemorative items were unveiled by S Rajendra Kumar, Chief Postmaster General of India Post’s Karnataka Circle, at a special event that also featured an exhibition showcasing Nimhans' contributions to mental health and its evolution over the decades.
"More than 3,000 stamps have been released in India, and today, we add three more to honour the legacy of Nimhans," Kumar said. "The miniature sheet and postmark symbolise the enduring impact of Nimhans in the healthcare sector."
