Bengaluru: Nimhans, in collaboration with the University of Oslo (UiO) in Norway, launched ‘PrecInNor’—Promoting Bidirectional Precision Psychiatry Training in India and Norway, on July 21.

This initiative is jointly supported by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India, and the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills under the Indo-Norwegian Cooperation Programme (INCP2).

PrecInNor marks a significant step toward advancing global mental health by combining India’s growing clinical and research infrastructure with Norway’s strengths in imaging, genetics, and population-level data science.

The initiative fosters joint training, academic exchange, and collaborative research in the emerging field of precision psychiatry.
