Jayanagar MLA and BJP Bangalore city President B N Vijayakumar told reporters on Thursday that the party top brass including Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, national general secretary Ananth Kumar and party State president Eshwarappa will meet in the next couple of days to decide on the candidates.
Standing committees
Chairpersons for the various standing committees of the BBMP will also be finalised at the meeting. The race is between two senior councillors for the mayor post - Katte Satyanarayana (Basavanagudi ward) and S K Nataraj (Sarakki ward). The elections to the Mayor and Deputy Mayor are to be held on April 23, as announced by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa in Hubli on Tuesday.
