Bengaluru: Namma Metro didn't have to close train services between SV Road and Baiyappanahalli on Sunday morning, as announced earlier, as it completed essential maintenance ahead of schedule.
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) had announced that train services between Indiranagar and Baiyappanahalli would start at 8 am, instead of the regular Sunday time of 7 am.
The curtailment was necessary to facilitate scheduled maintenance on the Purple Line between the SV Road and Baiyappanahalli metro stations from 7 am to 8 am, it had said.
However, the maintenance was completed by 5.55 am, and following train testing, services began at 7 am itself, it added.
