Bengaluru: Home Minister G Parameshwara on Thursday said that no one was above the law, moments after Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was arrested by the police after his bail was cancelled by the Supreme Court.

“We have to respect the Supreme Court’s judgment. The state government’s appeal has been upheld by the Supreme Court. They have options to fight as per the law. The ADGP Prisons has already received directions following the observations of the Supreme Court,” Parameshwara said.

He said that the government won’t give any directions regarding the case.

“The jail authorities will decide on where the accused will be lodged. We won’t give any directions regarding that,” Parameshwara added.
