Bengaluru: A 19-year-old nursing student was found dead in the hostel of her college in Ramanagara on the outskirts of Bengaluru. Police suspect it to be a case of suicide.
The deceased is Anamika Vineeth, a native of Kannur in Kerala. She was a first year BSc student at the Dr Chandramma Dayananda Sagar institute of Medical Education and Research in Kanakapura.
According to the police, Anamika was found hanging inside her hostel room on Tuesday evening. The body was sent for autopsy and her parents were informed, the police said.
"As of now, an Unnatural Death Report (UDR) was registered," an officer said.
