Bengaluru: An old house collapsed in Central Bengaluru on Thursday, injuring one person, the police said.
The 50-year-old ground+1 house, built on a 20x20 site near Sampangi Rama Nagar, came down shortly after 1 pm. Tile-laying work was underway on the ground floor at the time.

Ashwin, the owner, who was inside, sustained minor injuries and is being treated at a hospital. Another worker escaped unhurt. The police said that the house had completely collapsed and debris clearance was underway.
“The BBMP has been intimated, and the clearing will be done as soon as possible,” an officer said.
