The one-day seminar was conducted in association with Royal Institute of Technology, KTH and Uppsala University, Sweden.

H P Khincha, former vice chancellor of Vishwewarayya Technological University was the chief guest and Rajeev Thottapillil, professor in Royal Institute of Technology was the
guest of honour.

Ragini Narayan, Donor trustee of BMS Educational Trust inaugurated the event. While addressing the gathering, Khincha expressed his pleasure about the subject of the
seminar.

“In this flat world concept, distances have been narrowed down and the world has become a common platform for intellectual activities. The Internet and communication methods have changed our way of thinking, interaction and working. In this age of global cooperation and competition, it is essential to have seminars of this kind which continue to make us relevant,” Khincha opined.

Rajeev reiterated on the recognition of India in the European countries. He spoke about the excellent educational opportunities for Indian students and academicians and the collaborative research possibilities for faculties in Sweden.

“This seminar series is to reach out to talented students and academicians in countries like India, China and Brazil by the universities KTH and Uppsala,” he said.

Vijay Gore, trustee of BMS Educational Trust and Mallikarjuna Babu, principal of BMS College of Engineering were also present on theoccasion.
