Bengaluru: Since its launch on Friday, over 1,000 people have downloaded the 'Sanchari Cauvery' mobile application, the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has said.

In a press release, the BWSSB said that the programme had received good response and the board was committed to supply BIS-certified pure water to the citizens of Bengaluru.

The BWSSB has also decided to brand its tankers to ensure transparency and uniqueness. Branding would help the public distinguish private tankers from those that belong to the BWSSB. The BWSSB owns 60 tankers, and 100 private tankers registered with the BWSSB will be branded soon.
