Overbridge to ease traffic on Tannery Road

BENGALURU DEVELOPMENT K J GEORGE INSPECTED THE PULIKASE NAGARA CONSTITUENCY STROME WATER DRINE AND OTHER PLACES ALONG WITH BBMP MAYOR, COMMISSIONER AND AKANDA SRENIVASA MURTHY, MLA PULIKASENAGAR IN BENGALURU ON WEDNESDAY.

A new overhead bridge will be built  on the Tannery Road junction near the stormwater drain  at a cost of Rs 3 crore to  ease traffic.

Bengaluru Development and Town Planning Minister K J George, during an inspection of Tannery Road  on Wednesday,  said BBMP engineers would prepare a detailed project report and invite tenders.  He also ordered the renovation of footpaths and roadworks at a cost of Rs 6 crore within  a month. He instructed BBMP officials to start the process of issuing the Transfer of Development Rights (TDR) to widen Tannery Road.  

The civic body has set a deadline of December 2018 for handing over the keys of homes to slum dwellers in Ejipura. The homes are being built under a public-private partnership  with  Maverick Holdings and Investments Pvt Ltd.
