The protesters said they were being drafted for preparation of electoral roll, census, economic surveys and such other tasks, without giving them adequate facilities and remuneration.
They denounced the Palike for outsourcing the survey of BBMP properties to a private organisation. The protesters sought to know the fee paid to the private entity for carrying out the task.
The Revenue staff demanded that the authorities should repatriate non-KAS officers on deputation to BBMP and promote the Revenue department staff working in the same post for decades.
They later submitted a memorandum to BBMP joint commissioner (Administration).
