Panel finds no evidence against Patil, Palemar

The Legislative Assembly House Committee formed to probe the porngate episode has reportedly found no evidence on former ministers C C Patil and Krishna J Palemar, but is likely to implicate another former minister Lakshman Savadi.

The committee, which met on Friday, is submitting the probe report on March 20. According to sources, the committee did not find any valid evidence to prove the allegations against Patil and Palemar.

Savadi was accused of watching the porn clips holding the mobile phone, while Patil was accused of giving him company in watching the clip. It was alleged that the phone belonged to Palemar.

Meanwhile, all three have been barred from attending the budget session beginning on Tuesday. The committee report will be tabled in the Assembly and a decision on punishment is likely to be taken during the budget session.
