CID sleuths on Tuesday arrested a professional photographer in connection with II PU Chemistry question paper leak. He was identified as Sujay Arya Bankar (in pic), from North Karnataka and a resident of Chandra Layout. With his arrest, the number of people arrested in the scam has touched 18.
Bankar had procured the Chemistry question paper for his nephew who had appeared for the II PU examinations in March-April. Bankar is a close associate of the scam kingpin Shivakumaraiah. On the latter’s instr-uctions, Bankar had arranged a few students with the help of his nephew to answer the question papers. They had circulated the question papers and answers for money. A court remanded him in police custody till Friday.
