Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Bengaluru on August 10 to launch a number of projects. He will also take part in a roadshow in the city. Check his full itinerary here:

  • The Prime Minister will arrive at the HAL Airport in the city.

  • He will then depart for KSR Railway station by road.

  • The Prime Minister will then flag-off the Belagavi to Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express. He will also flag off two other Vande Bharat trains.

  • He will then travel to the Ragigudda metro station by road and is expected to take a metro ride from Ragidudda to Electronics City.

  • From Electronics City metro station, PM Modi will travel to International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Bengaluru.

Vande Bharat trains

Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution & New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi, in a post on X on Tuesday informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off three Vande Bharat trains during his Karnataka visit this Sunday.

The new Vande Bharat trains will operate between Bengaluru-Belagavi, Nagpur’s Ajni-Pune and Amritsar-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra.

Namma Metro Yellow Line

The Yellow Line of Namma Metro will be inaugurated by PM Modi on August 10, with passenger operations beginning the same day or next.

Three driverless trains will run every 25 minutes on the 19.15-km metro corridor that will connect RV Road to Bommasandra via Electronics City in southern Bengaluru. All 16 stations will be operational, a senior BMRCL official familiar with the matter told DH.

Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal Khattar announced the launch date of this long-delayed metro line on X.

The decision followed a meeting between Modi and Lok Sabha MP Tejasvi Surya, whose parliamentary constituency of Bangalore South will be the main beneficiary of this metro line.

Sources in the know said that the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) decided the launch date without consulting the government of Karnataka.

Namma Metro is a joint venture between Karnataka and the Centre.

Modi will also lay the foundation stone for the 44.65-km Phase 3.
