Shivajinagar police on Saturday arrested two persons said to be the associates of the absconding underworld operator Ravi Poojari.
On a tip-off, the police arrested the two motorcycle-borne men on Colonel Hill Road, in front of Colonel Hill School, while they were allegedly on their way to kill a rival gangster, Kavala alias Vijaya Kumar.
The police seized a country-made revolver from the two, identified as Anand Kumar alias Antu, 32, of Kolar Gold Fields, and Madusoodan alias Madhu, 23, of Bommanahalli.
Sources said that Anand was earlier arrested in connection with the Shabnam Developers shootout incident in Tilak Nagar. He was recently released on bail.
