Bengaluru: The BBMP on Tuesday appointed Preeti Gehlot, a 2016-batch IAS officer, as the special commissioner of its health division, an additional responsibility to her current role. The position was previously held by Vikas Suralkar Kishor.
Preeti will continue to lead the recently formed forest, environment, and climate change department. Meanwhile, Kishor retains his roles as zonal commissioner (West) and special commissioner of the BBMP's welfare division.
Following the reshuffle, Kishor has reportedly requested the government to allow him to continue in the health department for a few more months.
