A repository of lectures by well-known Sanskrit scholar Prof S K Ramachandra Rao is being shared by his family online.

Currently, eight lectures, together titled ‘Darshana (Systems of Indian Philosophy)’, have been posted on a YouTube channel.

The lectures were recorded at the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), Bengaluru. Each recording lasts 60 to 90 minutes.

A psychology professor, Rao (1925-2006) was distinguished in a variety of subjects, including the Vedas, Upanishads and ancient Indian schools of thought. Most recordings are in Kannada, and some are in English. Over 100 hours of audio recordings will be featured on the channel.

Rao authored books in Kannada and English, based on his study of rare texts and manuscripts.
