An FIR was filed at the Suddaguntepalya police station on December 11 based on a complaint by Muhammed Sinan K.

Sinan (21), an inmate told the police that the suspects, Abdul Majid and Allabaksh, barged into Living Space PG in BTM Layout late at night on December 10. Sinan alleged that the duo claimed to be
owners and demanded rent.

When they were refused, the suspects allegedly assaulted some of the occupants, threw out their belongings, and locked the PG forcing them to vacate. When they contacted the owner, they were informed that there was a stay order by the court, the FIR noted.

The owner, who arrived at the spot, was also assaulted, as per the FIR.

“The property dispute is pending in court,” an officer said. “Despite one party getting a stay order, the other has tried to occupy the building. Both the parties were asked to appear before the police for a solution. The occupants were also asked so their belongings could be recovered but they were yet to approach the police.”

Meanwhile, another FIR was filed based on a complaint by Majid, who accused Sinan and a few others of assaulting him.
