Income Tax sleuths on Sunday conducted a series of raids on the premises of six alleged bookies who were known to have been involved in betting on horses at the Bangalore Turf Club in the City.
According to sources in the I-T department, as many as 120 personnel from the department divided themselves into different teams and raided the premises of the bookies on Monday.
The raids which began during the wee hours of morning continued until late night, with another alleged bookie still under the scanner. According to the sources, incriminating evidence of their dealings were being gathered through the day from these bookies.
