The chief of the railway board is set to visit the Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal at Byappanahalli, whose inauguration is overdue.

Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board, Suneet Sharma, who is also the ex officio principal secretary to the government of India, is scheduled to inspect the terminal in East Bengaluru. He is expected to answer questions over the delayed inauguration of the terminal though most of the work was completed in the second week of March.

Sources in the South Western Railway said officials were still expecting the prime minister to inaugurate India’s first fully air-conditioned train terminal.
