Bengaluru: The Muslim holy month of Ramzan will begin on March 2.
Despite clear skies, there was no evidence of the crescent moon being sighted anywhere in India on Friday.
Accordingly, the Central Moon Sighting Committee, Karnataka, declared that the first day of Ramzan will begin on March 2 (Sunday).
During Ramzan, the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar, Muslims fast from dawn to dusk, abstaining from all kinds of food and liquids.
