The Chamarajpet police arrested Pasha and sent him to the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison. According to authorities, Pasha has been involved in 13 NDPS cases since 2013.

History of evasion

Despite previous arrests under the NDPS Act, Pasha obtained bail multiple times and evaded police surveillance, resuming his drug peddling operations. He reportedly sourced narcotics from Andhra Pradesh and other states for sale in Bengaluru.

The Chamarajpet police inspector submitted a detailed report to Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda last month, outlining the grounds for invoking the PIT-NDPS Act against Pasha. Upon approval, the police arrested him and lodged him in the Central Prison.

What is the PIT-NDPS Act?

The PIT-NDPS Act allows preventive detention of individuals involved in habitual drug trafficking to curb their activities effectively.
