Bengaluru: Ricky Rai, the son of former underworld don Muthappa Rai, appeared at the Bidadi police station on Tuesday in connection with the April shooting incident targeting him.
Ricky's gunman, Vittal Monappa, has emerged as the prime accused in the sensational case. The police arrested him on April 24 and later filed a preliminary charge sheet, according to well-placed police sources.
Ricky, 33, suffered injuries after being shot in his moving black Toyota Fortuner from a distance of less than 50 meters near his Bidadi house on April 19.
The police were waiting for his recovery to question him. Based on their questioning, the police will likely submit an additional charge sheet in the next few days.
