Bengaluru: A 26-year-old rowdy-sheeter has been arrested under the Goonda Act by the Kempegowda Nagar police for his frequent involvement in crimes.

Rajesh alias Motte, a resident of KG Nagar, faces more than 12 cases, including attempted murder, assault, preparations for robbery, house break-in, and criminal conspiracy. He has five non-bailable warrants against him, the police said. 

The police stated that Rajesh skipped the court sessions after obtaining bail. He was also fined Rs 1,000 for flouting conditions listed while granting bail.

Following his frequent involvement in crimes, the KG Nagar police sent a report against Rajesh to Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda through Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Lokesh B Jagalasar to make the arrest under the Goonda Act.

Dayananda gave the nod and issued an order on January 29 to invoke the Goonda Act against Rajesh. The police arrested Rajesh on Friday and sent him to the Ballari Central Jail.
