Bengaluru: A rowdy-sheeter was among two people arrested by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) of the Bengaluru police for allegedly attempting to sell country-made arms and ammunition, police officials said on Thursday.
The arrested suspect is Sameer Sharif alias Shooter Sameer, 32, a rowdy-sheeter at the KG Halli police station, officials said. The CCB police also arrested Harpal Singh, whose age was not immediately known, from Punjab.
According to the police, Singh confessed to supplying Sharif with the arms.
From Sharif, the police recovered one country-made gun, one pistol, and two live bullets. Based on information gathered during Sharif’s interrogation, the police arrested Bahaddur. The two have been remanded to judicial custody, officials added.
