The sun had risen from a night of slumber when the runners took to the streets for the eighth annual TCS World 10K marathon on Sunday.
Over 25,000 participants wore their legs out in different heats and for various causes. The event saw a stream of runners, international and national, racing their way through the streets of the City. Dressed to impress, people of all age groups participated in it. Many ran to raise awareness about human rights, elderly care, animal rights etc. A few famous faces were also seen – Puneeth Rajkumar, Rahul Bose and Gul Panag among others.
