Sree Ramaseva Mandali Trust is celebrating the birth centenary of their founder S V Narayanaswamy Rao on Saturday.
The event will be inaugurated with a special Mangalvadya concert by Denkanikottai V Mani and team. The other performances will include a concert by S Shankar, Ramani Shankar, Vaibhav Ramani, Yella Venkateshwara Rao and Ravikumar B R.
It will be followed by a concert by Nandini Rao Gujar, Pradesh Achar and Anirudh A Bhat. The last two performances will be by Hiranmayee S and team, followed by a jugalbandhi with Jayateertha Mevundi (vocals), Pravin Godkhindi (flute), Prasad Kamat (harmonium) and Roopak Kallurkar (tabla).
The trust will also present the S V Narayanaswamy Rao Birth Centenary Lifetime Achievement Award to 20 artistes from the field of music.
On December 21, 9.30 am to 7.30 pm at SVN Memorial Hall, off Kanakapura Road. Entry free.
