Sajid Nadiadwala’s romantic comedy entertainer Housefull, directed by Sajid  Khan, has the entire team excited for a single reason and that is that they all agree it’s a great film. In fact, so much so is Sajid Khan’s confidence in the film that he has promised producer Sajid Nadiadwala an opening of more than 60 crore at the box office.

The romantic comedy entertainer is a story of normal people caught in abnormal situations sparked off by a white lie. The film starring Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Jiah Khan and Arjun Rampal talks of the world’s unluckiest man trying to find true love to change his luck .

Reveals a source, “Sajid is very confident about his film and whosoever has seen glimpses of the film, has given him a great feedback. It has a great starcast, a lot of comic moments, great music, stunning locations — it has everything going for it. Sajid has blind confidence in the film and hence, has promised Sajid Nadiadwala that the film in its opening weekend will rake in more than 60 crores at the box office.” So let’s wait and watch whether Housefull opens to housefull theatres this April.

Doing wrong the right way

Yash Raj Films’ next release will be Badmaash Company, written and directed by Parmeet Sethi and produced by Aditya Chopra. The music has been composed by Pritam. The film stars Shahid Kapoor and Anushka Sharma who are certainly a pair to watch out for with their great on-screen chemistry. They are ably supported by the former Indian Idol Meiyang Chang and stand up comedian Vir Das.
Badmaash Company is an extraordinary story set in the 1990s in Mumbai. It revolves around four young middle-class friends, who get together to start a company.
Their business is an instant hit because they find a way to beat the system, by doing all the wrong things, the right way.

Shahid Kapoor revealed that he and director Vishal Bhardwaj are currently in talks about the possibilities of bringing out a sequel to Kaminey. “We have spoken about making a sequel. And this time, we will make it more accessible. If last time, 75 per cent people understood and 25 per cent didn’t get it, we are now aiming at the 25 per cent, if we make a film again,” quips Shahid.

‘Men chase me more than women’

Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham created quite a stir with their funny acts in Dostana. Speaking about the film and his equation with John, Junior Bachchan said, “For two years, our Dostana has won us the Jodi No 1 award. But frankly, I’m not looking at scoring a hattrick.” He added, “The producers of Colors had offered me the role of the grown-up Jagya in Balika Vadhu. But according to the results of a survey conducted, women didn’t want me to do the show, while men wanted to see me on it.” He noted, “With one Dostana, Karan Johar has changed the way the society looks at me. Men chase me more than women these days.” He was quick to add, “Hey, I was just joking!”
